Our story
Built to help you find the good stuff, faster.
Raytownautoland is a public library. Curators bring in the resources; readers come to browse without the noise of a feed.
Our story
Why we built Raytownautoland.
We started Raytownautoland because bookmarking apps go stale and content feeds get louder every year. A collection sits in between — small enough for one person to keep sharp, big enough to feel like a shelf worth returning to.
Every resource here was chosen by a real curator for a real reason. If something breaks or turns spammy, it leaves the shelf.
That's the whole product.
Our mission
Make the web feel like a well-organised bookshelf again — a place you actually want to spend time in.
Skip the feed. Open a shelf. Find something worth saving.
Publish work you're proud of alongside people whose taste you trust.
Send traffic back to sites that deserve it — small blogs, indie tools, deep archives.
What we believe
Six principles that shape everything we ship.
Quality over quantity
Every resource is reviewed before it goes live. Nothing gets in for the sake of filling a shelf.
Community first
Real people, real taste. Our curators write for other humans, not for search engines.
Easy to explore
Clear categories, calm layout, no infinite scroll. You should be able to find what you need in seconds.
Made with care
We take pride in the details — from the typography you're reading to the way results are ranked.
Always improving
We ship updates every week based on what people actually use, ask for, and get stuck on.
Open to the web
Reading the library will always be free. Sign in only when you want to publish or save your own picks.
The journey
From a shared doc to a public library.
A short history of how we got here — and where we’re headed next.
The idea
A shared doc of favourite links turned into something worth building.
First shelves
Ten collections went live with a handful of trusted curators.
Open doors
We opened submissions to the public and welcomed hundreds of new contributors.
Today
A calm home for curated resources — read by thousands every week.
